World Cup fever has spread around the globe and now has permeated the world of fashion. For the upcoming issue of V magazine (#66), photographer Sebastian Faena presents a tongue in cheek (chic) tabloid style editorial dedicated to the Argentine phenomenon of “botineras”, or footballer’s wives. The all-star cast includes models Alessandra Ambrosio (Elite), Dree Hemingway (Elite), Eniko Mihalik (Marilyn), Maryna Linchuk (DNA), and Constance Jablonski (Marilyn) as the tanned and fabulous wives of footballers, played by male models Jacques Naude (Wilhemina), Evandro Soldati (Ford), Martin Landgreve (Next) and Simon Nessman (Major). The special twelve page spread ‘Footballers’ Wives‘ is styled by the legendary Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. V66, “The Sexy Body Issue,” features 50 of the hottest bodies in the world, and is set to hit newsstands July 8th.
