Ang Lee (Chinese: Lǐ Ān; born October 23, 1954) is a Taiwanese film director. Lee has directed a diverse set of films such as Pushing Hands (1992), The Wedding Banquet (1993), Eat Drink Man Woman (1994), Sense and Sensibility  (1995), Crouhing Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Brokeback Mountain (2005), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Director, Lust, Caution (2007), and Taking Woodstock (2009). Lee’s next film, Life of Pi is due for release in 2012. Read full bio here.
