Revlon…do you?: Revlon bucks the trend of hiring actresses to sell makeup, and returns to ads featuring supermodels. Anne Vyalitsyna (Women) stars as the new face of the cosmetics giant’s Fall/Winter 2011 campaign. With smoky eyes and a plum pout by Gucci Westman, the Russian model brings back the glamour of the iconic beauty ads of yesterday.

This Soft Embrace: Captured by Sølve Sundsbø, Lithuanian beauty Edita Vilkeviciute (DNA) is in full bloom for a sensual beauty story in Japanese Vogue‘s November issue. Dressed by fashion editor George Cortina in vibrant floral prints, the DNA model emulates the form and palette of flowers and petals with plum stained lips and supple eye shadow, courtesy of make up artist Polly Osmond, while hair stylist Shay Ashuai gives Edita slicked back, hair perfectly framing her dew-kissed face. www.vogue.jp

VERFUHRUNG: Nobody has a face quite like ONE’s Carola Remer, who’s full lips and high cheekbones make her the perfect subject for Vogue Germany‘s beauty story in their September issue. Entitled “Verfuhrong” (Glamorous), the German doll sits for the lens of Camilla Akrans with Ali Pirzadeh on hair and flawless Tom Ford makeup by Fredrik Stambro. One for the Ages: Photographer Steven Klein creates a masterpiece editorial for the September 2011 issue of W magazine starring the incredible model and actress Amber Valetta. Male models Brian Shimansky and Matthew Coatsworth are cast as Amber’s male companions in this dark and dramatic story showcasing a century’s worth of fashion provided by Edward Enninful–taking us from 1929 to 2019–with Amber aging a decade in each double spread. Rounding out the incredible production team are Luigi Mureno on hair and Lucia Pieroni on makeup, with special effects makeup by Damian Till and prosthetics designed by Christien Tinsley.
