Song Lyrics:
It’s hard to be ignored
When I look at you
You look so bored
My baby, my darling
I’ve been taking a beating
Well all right
(Well all right)
It’s ok
(It’s ok)
We all get the slip sometimes every day
I’ll just keep it to myself
In the sun
In the sun
It’s hard to take the blame
When I look at you, you’re so ashamed
My baby, my darling
I’ve been thinking of leaving
Well all right
(Well all right)
It’s ok
(It’s ok)
We all get the slip sometimes every day
I’ll just keep it to myself
In the sun
In the sun
Well all right
(Well all right)
It’s ok
(It’s ok)
We all feel ashamed sometimes every day
I’ll just keep it to myself
In the sun
In the sun

I love it in your room at night
You’re the only one who gets through to me
In the warm glow of the candlelight
Oh, I wonder what you’re gonna do to me
In your room
I come alive when I’m with you
I’ll do anything you want me to
In your room
I love it in your room all day
When you’re gone I like to try on all your clothes
You won’t regret it if you let me stay
I’ll teach you everything that a boy should know
In your room
I’m alive when I’m with you
Gonna make your dreams come true
In your room
I feel good in your room
Let’s lock the world out
Feels so good when we kiss
Nobody ever made me crazy like this
I’ll do anything you want me to
I only want to be with you
In your room
In your room

Song Lyrics:
you think i’d leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think i’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees
i wouldn’t do that
i’ll tell you you’re right when you want
and if only you could see into me
ha ah ah ah ah ah
oh when you’re cold
i’ll be there
hold you tight to me
when you’re on the outside baby and you can`t get in
i will show you you’re so much better than you know
when you’re lost and you’re alone and you cant get back again
i will find you darling and i will bring you home
and if you want to cry
i am here to dry your eyes
and in no time
you’ll be fine
you think i’d leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think id leave you down when you’re down on your knees
i wouldn’t do that
i’ll tell you you’re right when you want
and if only you could see into me
ha ah ah ah ah ah
oh when you’re cold
i’ll be there
hold you tight to me
when you’re low
i’ll be there
by your side baby
oh when you’re cold
i’ll be there
hold you tight to me
oh when you’re low
i’ll be there
by your side baby

Song Lyrics:
Hit the beat now…
Lost in emotion
Some guys will promise you a
Marriage made in heaven
But I’m gonna stick to my guns
Like waitin for their love
That I might be gettin
My dreams have yet begun
Oh baby, am I a fool ’cause I don’t know
Just how you feel
And it’s the love for you, oh I
I can’t conceal oh oh
Lost in emotion
Telling you things
you really shouldn’t know
Oh baby, I’m lost in emotion
Am I fool at least my friends think so
Que sera Que Sera
Baby, whatever will be,
que sera que sera
Between you and me
Just how true are the rumors
I am hearing
About this crush you have on me
Maybe I’m blind
’cause I just don’t see it
But I want to believe
what they see
I find myself telling you things
I don’t even tell my best friend
I keep showin’ emotions, not knowin’
Just wear it all stems from
From time to time I wonder where I am
In your heart,
And even though I don’t live there yet
I’m afraid it will be cold and dark
I’m lost in emotion
Telling you things
you really shouldn’t know
I’m lost in emotion
Am I a fool,
at least my friends think so
Que sera que sera
Baby, whatever will be
Que Sera que sera
Between you and me
Oh-ho, you know
Baby am I a fool
cause I don’t know
Just how you feel
And it’s the love for you, oh I
Can’t conceal
Hit the beat now (lost)
With my feelin’ (lost)
I hit the ceilin’ (lost)
With these emotions (lost)
I can’t be dealin’ (lost)
I wanna be with you (lost)
But I don’t know how (lost)
In my heart babe,
I can feel the beat now.
Lost in emotion
Lost in emotion
Lost in emotion
Lost
My baby
Lost
My Baby
Lost in emotion
My my my my my baby
Lost in emotion
Lost in emotion
Lost

I’ve been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can’t reach
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you and all you know and how you speak
Countless lovers under cover of the street
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you
Off in the night while you live it up I’m off to sleep
Waging wars to shake the poet and the beat
I hope it’s gonna make you notice
I hope it’s gonna make you notice
Someone like me, someone like me
Someone like me, somebody
I’m ready now, I’m ready now
I’m ready now, I’m ready now
I’m ready now, I’m ready now
I’m ready now
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
I’ve been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Aside from being a supermodel,Karen Elson (born 14 January 1979) is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and guitarist. Her musical career has been building slowly over the past several years. She is a founding member and performer with the New York City based political cabaret troupe The Citizens Band, appearing with them at various theaters as well as the downtown art gallery Deitch Projects since 2004.
Her first full length album was written, for the most part, in secret without letting her (then) husband Jack White hear what she was doing. “At home I would hide—I would play my songs really in isolation. I would lock the bathroom door and hide. Eventually he was like, ‘Why are you hiding this from me?’”.In May 2010, Elson released her debut solo album The Ghost Who Walks, produced by Jack White, on Third Man Records via XL Recordings. Spin magazine compared her voice to both Jenny Lewis and Loretta Lynn.
Official music video by Karen Elson performing “The Truth is in the Dirt“, taken from her debut album The Ghost Who Walks. Directed by the Belles of the Black Diamond Field.
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
Not in your gilded cage with your rusted spoon
When the ground splits open it will swallow you
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
Not in your poison tongue or your acid tears
Let the truth howl in your ear
(Here she comes it killin time
Flames are burnin
Behind her eyes)-(x2)
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
Not in your your close drawn out scratched till it bleeds
Knocked down dead gets what she needs
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
Not on a blazing
From the midnight sun
The fire will turn your bones to dust
(Here she comes its killin time
Flames are burnin
Behind her eyes)-(x2)
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
The truth is in the dirt on the ground
Not in your gilded cage
with your rusted spoon
When the ground splits open it will swallow you
James Todd Smith (born January 14, 1968), better known as LL Cool J (abbreviation for Ladies Love CoolJames), is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and actor from Bay Shore, New York. He is known for romantic ballads such as “I Need Love”, “Around the Way Girl” and “Hey Lover” as well as pioneering hip-hop such as “I Can’t Live Without My Radio”, “I’m Bad”, “The Boomin’ System”, and “Mama Said Knock You Out”. He has released thirteen studio albums and two greatest hits compilations, including 2008′s Exit 13, the last for his record deal with Def Jam Recordings. He has also appeared in numerous films, and currently stars as NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna on the CBS crime drama television series NCIS: Los Angeles.
“Mama Said Knock You Out” is a hit single by LL Cool J from his album of the same name. The song famously begins with the line “Don’t call it a comeback/I’ve been here for years.” Before “Mama Said Knock You Out” was released, many people felt that LL Cool J’s career was waning; his grandmother, who still believed in his talent, told him to “knock out” all his critics. The song was produced by Marley Marl with help from Shadman Kaiser along with LL. The single reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold by the RIAA. LL Cool J won Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards of 1992.
The song uses samples from James Brown’s “Funky Drummer,” the Chicago Gangsters’ “Gangster Boogie,” Sly & The Family Stone’s “Trip to Your Heart” and “Sing a Simple Song”, and Rock the Bells by LL Cool J. The music video features LL Cool J in a boxing ring, rapping into a microphone similar to the one an announcer would use in a boxing match. Frequently, there are shots of him working out and scenes of boxers being punched out. At the end of the video, his grandmother says “Todd! Todd! Get upstairs and take out that garbage”.
The song was included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
Song Lyrics:
[LL]
C’mon man
[News Report]
And with the local DBT news, LL Cool J with a triumphant comeback [mumbling]
but tonite…
[LL]
Don’t call it a comeback
I been here for years
Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear
Makin the tears rain down like a MON-soon
Listen to the bass go BOOM
Explosion, overpowerin
Over the competition, I’m towerin
Wreckin shop, when I drop these lyrics that’ll make you call the cops
Don’t you dare stare, you betta move
Don’t ever compare
Me to the rest that’ll all get sliced and diced
Competition’s payin the price
[Chorus:]
I’m gonna knock you out (HUUUH!!!)
Mama said knock you out (HUUUH!!!) [REPEAT 4X]
Don’t u call this a regular jam
I’m gonna rock this land
I’m gonna take this itty bitty world by storm
And I’m just gettin warm
Just like Muhummad Ali they called him Cassius
Watch me bash this beat like a skull
Cuz u know I had beef wit
Why do u riff with me, the maniac psycho
And when I pull out my jammy get ready cuz it might go
BLAAAAW, how ya like me now?
The river will not allow
U to get with, Mr. Smith, dont riff
Listen to my gear shift
I’m blastin, outlastin
Kinda like Shaft, so u could say I’m shaftin
Old English filled my mind
And I came up with a funky rhyme
[Chorus] [LL]
Breakdown!!!
Shadow boxin when I heard you on the radio (HUUUH!!!)
I just don’t know
What made you forget that I was raw?
But now I got a new tour
I’m goin insane, startin the hurricane, releasin pain
Lettin you know that you can’t gain, I maintain
Unless ya say my name
Rippin, killin
Diggin and drillin a hole
Pass the Ol’ Gold
[Chorus]
Shotgun blasts are heard
When I rip and kill, at WILL
The man of the hour, tower of power, I’ll devour
I’m gonna tie you up and let you understand
that I’m not your average man
when I got a jammy in my hand
DAAAAAM!!!!! Oooooohh!!
Listen to the way I slaaaaay, your crew
Damage (UHH) damage (UHH) damage (UHH) damage
Destruction, terror, and mayhem
Pass me a sissy so suckas I’ll slay him
Farmers (What!!!) Farmers (What!!!)
I’m ready (we’re ready!!!)
I think I’m gonna bomb a town (get down!!)
Don’t u neva, eva, pull my lever
Cuz I explode
And my nine is easy to load
I gotta thank God
Cuz he gave me the strength to rock
HARD!! knock you out, mama said knock you out
